As an employee, you must protect the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities. You should be aware of what can cause harm and follow any precautions set down by your employer. Health and safety is not just concerned with the physical environment and equipment – it also considers people and their behaviour.

Furthermore, you should make sure you know what to do if things go wrong, and you employer should have first aid and emergency procedures in place.
